The Style Academy International® is a CPD-Approved Provider, and our certificate programs are CPD-accredited through The CPD Group.
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. CPD accreditation means our courses have been assessed against recognized professional development standards, reassuring students that their training has been independently reviewed for learning content, structure, and educational value.
Importantly, it is our individual certificate programs that are accredited, not simply the Academy as a provider. This means students completing one of our accredited programs can be confident that the specific course they have chosen has been assessed and approved for CPD purposes.

Meet Our Founder and CEO
Hi there, stylists! 👋🏼
I’m Louisa Gabriel, founder of The Style Academy International®, an image strategist®, personal stylist, color analyst, and business success coach. I’m also a big believer in the power of personal style and what it can do for how we look, feel, and show up in the world.
I’ve spent more than 17 years working in personal styling, image, and business, and along the way I’ve helped hundreds of people around the world develop the skills and confidence they need to build a career in personal styling, color analysis, and image consulting.
But my journey didn’t start with a styling business or a ready-made client list. I started my own personal styling business with just $250 and a lot of determination. Within a few years, I had grown it into a six-figure business.
That experience is a huge part of why I created The Style Academy International®. I know what it’s like to start from scratch, wonder where your first clients are going to come from, figure out how to market yourself, and learn how to turn your skills into a business. And I know how rewarding it can be when it all starts to come together.
My goal is to help you get there without having to figure everything out alone.
So, what makes my approach different?
I bring a rather unusual combination of experience to stylist education.
I have a degree in psychology and business, which means I’ve always been fascinated by people—why we behave the way we do, how we make decisions, and how our mindset can influence our success.
Before becoming a personal stylist, I also spent more than 16 years working as a senior director in business management, business development, and communications. So while I love everything about style, I also understand the business side: how to develop a business, communicate your value, market yourself, build client relationships, and create a growth strategy.
I also have a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Cornell University, which gave me an even deeper understanding of what it takes to navigate the world of entrepreneurship and small business.
And then there’s the experience you can’t learn from a textbook: actually building a personal styling business from the ground up.
That combination of styling, psychology, business, marketing, and entrepreneurship is what I bring to my courses and coaching.
Because becoming a successful personal stylist is about so much more than knowing what looks good.
You need to understand your clients. You need strong styling and image skills. You need to communicate your expertise and create an exceptional client experience. And if you want to build a successful styling business, you also need to understand marketing, sales, pricing, branding, and the business side of being your own boss.
That’s the bigger picture I want my students to understand.

I genuinely love what I do!
